CML boasts a staff of highly trained professional laboratory scientists, some with over 25 years of experience, continually participating in continuing education programmes. Priding itself on being on the cutting edge of technology, CML invested in a fully computerized specimen management and reporting system — a Laboratory Information System (LIS) — in November 2001.
Through linkages with local and overseas specialist laboratories, CML provides a comprehensive range of services from simple tests to complex assays including DNA, HIV confirmation and cancer screening. The laboratory participates in proficiency testing with the United States and CAREC to ensure credible performance.
In addition to routine daily service, Central Medical Laboratories provides house call services and laboratory services to the veterinary community. We take a long-term view of our work and look forward to the future with enthusiasm as we continue to offer quality service to the Jamaican community.
